Our apprentices are the skilled employees of the future.

The Heiche Group offers qualified and secure apprenticeships in industrial as well as in commercial areas.

This year we were able to hire four additional apprentices. One position was for an office clerk, two positions were for galvanizer specialists and one position was for an industrial mechanic.

The professional training for an office clerk, lasting three years, includes, e.g., the following skills in the first and second years of training:
Statistics, warehousing, word processing, order and invoice processing, occupational safety, environmental protection and the efficient use of energy, company and workplace organisation, working materials and organisational resources, office-economic processes, office communication, data processing, human resource management, bookkeeping and cost accounting.
Before the end of the second year of the apprenticeship, a written examination is taken at the Chamber of Trade.
In the third year of the apprenticeship, an in-depth assimilation of the items mentioned above is done. Class once a week and in alternating weeks, twice a week at the Gustav von Schmoller School in Heilbronn are part of the apprenticeship requirements.
A school leaving qualification is required for an apprenticeship application as well as pleasure associating with people, enjoyin PC work, perseverance and persistence, the ability to grasp new ideas and and good manners.

The apprenticeship which also lasts three years for a galvaniser specialist includes the following skills in the first and second years of training:
Safety at work and accident prevention regulations, the correction action after an accident, measuring the length of a workpiece, checking the surface quality of a work piece, differentiating between wood, steel and plastics when filing, filing parallel to dimensions, cutting pipes with a handsaw according to a marking, soldering plates and pipes, checking the coatability of the workpieces, checking which preparation work is necessary, making solutions with certain concentrations of substances, measuring conductivity and ph-values, constructing or changing devices, mounts and frames in order to adapt them to the workpiece to be treated, recognising the effect of heat treatment processes on the material and the subsequent surface treatments. Before the end of the second year of the apprenticeship, a practical and an oral examination take place.
In the third year of the apprenticeship, the following is taught: the designing and producing of auxiliary electrodes and covers, operating of plants, operating and checking the associated equipment like filter units, dosing stations and chemical dosing, cleaning and maintenance of the electrodes, preactical processes for the mechanical, chemical, electrochemical and/or physical removal of coatings, proper disposal of waste and residues, implementation of the quality management for the improvement of work quality.
Included in the training are block courses at the professional school centre in Schwaebisch Gmuend, the vocational school for electroplating.

The third vocational training that can be done in our company is the vocational training for an industrial mechanic.
This vocational training lasts 3½ years and takes place both at the company and at the vocational school at Neckarsulm.
Industrial mechanics work in the production, maintenance and monitoring of technical systems. They work with equipment, retrofitting and the comissioning of production plants. Typical fields of employment are maintenance, maching and plant construction, production technology and fine toolmaking.
Industrial mechanics perform their duties independently and comply with the respective regulations and safety regulations, they coordinate their work to the upstream and downstream areas. They work on a team – set up workplaces – manage production processes and monitor them. They control and document maintenance and assembly works taking the company’s quality management systems into account. They manufacture components and assemblies and install them into technical systems, detect faults and their causes in technical systems and document them. They maintain technical systems, retrofit machines and systems, do maintenance and carry out inspections, choose test methods and materials, ensure the functionality of technical systems, check and expand the electro-technical components of the control technology.

Currently we offer positions for 9 teenagers to learn a profession with a future at our company.

We guarantee young employees vocational training with a future at the highest level. Team spirit, performance incentives and sense of responsibility characterise our work.

Every year we offer a comprehensive programme with presentations at various education exhibitions, apprentice exchanges, etc. Last year we took part at the Chamber of Commerce’s educational exhibition as well as at the local apprentice exchange.
