Processes: Powder coating

Powder coating: here an electrically conductive material is coated with powder coating. The powder is sprayed electrostatically on the painting base to be coated and afterwards it is annealed at about 140-200°C. Before this, the workpiece must be cleaned well, i.e., it must be degreased and pre-treated. Through the annealing, a permanent adhesion (mechanical clamping) and an even, dense coating are achieved which takes place, in part through coagulation (quasi sintering) and, in part, through the fusing of the particles.
